M2.2 - Final Master Project
This paper investigates the role of a desktop filament maker within experimental and educational fabrication workflows, with a particular focus on material experimentation, sustainability, and user engagement. Through expert-led evaluation, the study examines how prior disciplinary knowledge influences interaction with the machine and assesses the effectiveness of a narrative-based instructional comic approach. The results position the filament maker as a research and learning tool rather than a production system, highlighting its potential to bridge gaps between industrial plastic fabrication, hands-on experimentation, and sustainability activism.
